Irish to put series with UM on hold after 2014

Notre Dame has chosen to put its series with Michigan in football on hold after the 2014 season.

The Associated Press reported today that Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick notified Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon in writing that it would cancel games in 2015-2017.

Notre Dame will face Michigan in 2013 and 2014. The series already had a scheduled hiatus in 2018 and 2019.

The No. 10 Irish beat the Wolverines 13-6 on Saturday in South Bend, Ind.
