Is Denard Robinson hurt? Is he well? Did the coaches decide Friday if Robinson would play? Or did they decide Saturday morning on starting Devin Gardner at quarterback, in those same moments that Robinson was either A) throwing a handful of wobbly passes to receivers in warmups at Minnesota or B) bobbing at the 30-yard line at TCF Bank Stadium to Kanye West's latest single?

Attempting to answer this question is akin to trying to figure out a Sudoku puzzle. At 3 in the morning. After four days without sleep.

Don't even bother asking about Russell Bellomy, who, on paper, has been demoted to Michigan's No. 3 quarterback.

Who will be Michigan's starting quarterback Saturday against Northwestern? How severe is the injury to the nerve in Robinson's throwing arm?

Keep guessing.

We've reached a point in the season where gamesmanship starts to count as much as preparation. Then again, nobody said there would be complete character and outward integrity in college sports.

Consider what's at stake Saturday in Ann Arbor: Michigan has a chance to "control its own destiny." Northwestern has the opportunity to scramble up the Legends Division standings.

Just don't try to figure out who Michigan's quarterback will be. Or when the coaching staff decided he would start. Or what song will inspire Robinson to show off his dance moves.
