Gardner set a single-game school record with 584 yards

    ANN ARBOR - Devin Gardner's 6-yard touchdown run with 6:01 left in the fourth quarter helped the Michigan football team to a 63-47 win today at Michigan Stadium.

    Gardner set a single-game school record with 584 yards - 503 yards passing and 81 yards rushing - while Jeremy Gallon set a school record and a Big Ten record with 369 receiving yards receiving. Gallon also scored two touchdowns.

    Fitzgerald Toussaint scored four touchdowns and ran for 151 yards on 32 carries, and capped off the win with a 27-yard touchdown with 1:12 left in the fourth quarter, a drive set up by Thomas Gordon's second interception.

    Indiana quarterback Tre Roberson was 16 for 23 passing with 288 yards and three touchdowns, and Indiana (3-4, 1-2 Big Ten) finished with 572 yards.

    Michigan (6-1, 2-1 Big Ten) plays at Michigan State on Nov. 2, with a time to be announced.

    THIRD QUARTER

    Quarterback Devin Gardner has 422 yards passing and Jeremy Gallon has 343 yards receiving through the third quarter, as Michigan holds a 42-40 lead over Indiana today at Michigan Stadium.

    Indiana cut Michigan's lead to 42-40 on Kofi Hughes' touchdown with 2:56 left in the third, but the Hoosiers were unable to complete the two-point conversion. Hughes' touchdown was fifth between the two teams in the third quarter.

    Gallon's 343 yards receiving is a new school and new Big Ten record.

     

    HALFTIME

    Jeremy Gallon's 21-yard touchdown catch with 40 seconds left in the first half has helped Michigan to a 28-17 lead over Indiana today at Michigan Stadium.

    Mitch Ewald kicked a 50-yard field goal with one second left for Indiana to make it an 11-point game.

    Indiana blocked Brendan Gibbons' 39-yard field goal attempt with 11:53 left in the half - a play that was pushed back from the 5 after UM quarterback Devin Gardner was called for intentional grounding on the previous play.

    Fitzgerald Toussaint's second touchdown run gave the Wolverines a 21-7 lead midway through the second quarter, but Shane Wynn's 33-yard touchdown catch with 5:59 left in the second helped Indiana cut Michigan's lead to 21-14.

    At the half, Gallon leads all receivers with eight catches for 170 yards.

     

    FIRST QUARTER

    Fitzgerald Toussaint's 2-yard run on fourth-and-1 with 4:33 left in the first quarter has given the Michigan football team a 14-7 lead over Indiana today at Michigan Stadium.

    Indiana took a 7-0 lead less than five minutes into the game on Cody Latimer's 59-yard touchdown reception, and Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner tied the game with 8:07 left in the first on a 13-yard run.

    Michigan's Jeremy Gallon leads all receivers with four catches for 116 yards.
