UM's Stauskas named to All-America first team

ANN ARBOR — Nik Stauskas, a sophomore guard on the Michigan men's basketball team, was named today to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-America first team.

Stauskas joins Arizona's Nick Johnson, Creighton's Doug McDermott, Connecticut's Shabazz Napier and Duke's Jabari Parker on the first team. Stauskas has 17.4 points and 3.3 assists. This is his third All-America selection; he is a Sporting News second-team and USA Today third-team selection.

Michigan (27-8), the No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament's Midwest region, plays No. 11 seed Tennessee in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen at 7:15 p.m. Friday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
