The media frenzy about the birth of the TomKitten continued to swirl.

Toledo's Katie Holmes was the lead item on last night's episode of Entertainment Tonight TV program. A report suggested she might be having Tom Cruise's baby at Toledo Hospital yesterday.

Not so, says an unidentified Holmes family member. Katie was at her home and not in Toledo. Not only had she not delivered, she was not in labor last night. When asked whether Katie would give birth in Toledo and whether her mom, Kathy Holmes, was with her, the family member declined comment. A story circulating that the two bought a house on Ridgewood Road in Ottawa Hills was bogus, the relative said.

Gossip columnists have been spinning tales about the parents-to-be's unborn child and when, where, and if there will be a wedding. One after the other claimed the duo's mile-wide smiles vanished when the cameras stopped clicking.

People Magazine caught up with a source close to the couple recently who said Katie was "glowing and she's looking fine." This came close on the heels earlier this year after reports of an impending separation.

But Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes aren't splitting. That's the story from Tom's attorney, who said his client had pondered suing Life & Style magazine over the story that caused all the trouble-in-paradise gossip.

On Tuesday, Tom and Katie were in Sunnyvale, Calif. Tom spoke to employees at Yahoo headquarters. Katie appeared briefly onstage, then sat in the audience.
