Christian filmmakers’ latest at No. 4 in nation

Courageous, the latest movie by Christian filmmakers Alex and Stephen Kendrick, brought in $9 million in its opening weekend and finished No. 4 at the theaters last weekend.

The film that espouses the importance of fatherhood was seen by 1 million people and was the No. 1 new movie of the weekend.

The fifth movie from the Kendrick brothers, who are pastors at a Georgia church, follows their 2008 movie Fireproof, which was the No. 1 independent movie of 2008.
