CINCINNATI — Ohio gets some overdue credit in the home video release of the George Clooney political thriller “The Ides of March.”

In theaters, the closing credits said the movie was “filmed on location in Michigan.” That was even though the film shows loads of familiar southwest Ohio sites including Miami and Xavier (ZAY’-vyur) universities and Cincinnati’s iconic Fountain Square.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the DVD and Blu-Ray versions coming next week say that “Ides” was filmed in both Michigan and Ohio. The revised credits also give new “special thanks” to Miami and Xavier, the city of Cincinnati and its police department, the Ohio Film Office, and others.

Producer Grant Heslov had said Ohio was left out because of a mistake that “slipped through the cracks.”
