The Michigan Film Office says two feature films have been approved for nearly $200,000 in state incentives.
Heartlock will get a $139,000 incentive. It’s expected to shoot scenes in Jackson and at the Standish Correctional Facility.
According to the film office, Paid in Full is getting a $48,000 incentive.
The movie hopes to raise awareness about human trafficking around the world and follows the story of an Indian-American girl seeking to avenge the death of her sister.
Paid in Full begins production this month in Novi and will do all of its post-production work in Michigan.
The state’s Film Office says 11 projects have been awarded $43.5 million in incentives during fiscal year 2014.
