New Detroit Tiger manager Alan Trammell will be among the featured speakers at the Mud Hens' annual winter fan festival on Jan. 20.
The Hens' “Fandemonium” will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Fifth Third Field. The event will be held in the Roost and possibly other areas, depending on crowd size.
Besides a question-and-answer session with Trammell and other guests, fans will be able to get autographs and purchase Mud Hens game tickets and souvenirs. The autograph session will allow fans to get a look at some usually unseen parts of Fifth Third Field, including the Hens' locker room and the team's rental suite.
The Hens also will sponsor a raffle, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the YMCA Urban Youth Fund. Among the items in this raffle will be an autographed Alan Trammell Tigers jersey.
Tickets for the event cost $10 and will be available today at the Mud Hens box office, by phone, 419-725-4367, on-line at www.mudhens.com and at Bases Loaded Sports Cards, 3818 W. Alexis Rd.
