Hens fall to Braves

3/31/2005

LAKELAND, Fla. The Mud Hens lost 8-6 yesterday to Richmond,

Atlanta s Triple-A affiliate.

The Hens twice were denied opportunities to score runs when Braves pitchers reached their pitch counts and innings were ended prematurely, leaving Toledo with runners on base that

might have scored.

We also went three-up, threedown in the fi rst three innings but had five balls that were pea-shots right at someone for outs, said Hens manager Larry Parrish. I was very happy with the way we swung the bats today.

Brandon Harper led the Toledo offense with a bases-loaded double to center that cleared the bases.

Sean Douglass started and allowed five hits and three runs in four innings.
