Single-game Hens tickets to go on sale

Single-game tickets for 2006 Mud Hens games go on sale this week.

Tickets for Opening Day (5:30 p.m. April 6 against Charlotte) will go on sale Saturday at 9 a.m.

Tickets for all other games will go on sale Wednesday at 9 a.m.

All tickets for Opening Day will be priced at $8. Children 12 and under and senior citizens will pay $6 for all single-game tickets this season with the exception of Opening Day and fireworks games.

In addition to Opening Day, the Mud Hens have scheduled Opening Night (7 p.m. on April 7) and Kids Opening Day at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 9.

Fans can purchase their tickets at Fifth Third Field, by phone (419-725-HENS), or online at www.mudhens.com. There are two box offices at Fifth Third Field - one at 406 Washington Street near the corner of St. Clair Street and one at the corner of Washington and Huron Streets.

Fans wishing to purchase Opening Day tickets should form single-file lines at each of these locations. The Swamp Shop souvenir store also will be open for business on Saturday morning.

The Mud Hens said they have already sold more than 265,000 tickets for the season, which equals more than 47 percent of last year's total attendance.

Full and partial season-ticket packages are available for purchase by calling (419) 725-HENS. All season-ticket packages include Opening Day.

All season-ticket holders will have an opportunity to purchase tickets for the ProMedica Health System All-Star Week.

The Triple-A All-Star Game will be played at Fifth Third Field on July 12.

The 2005 Mud Hens won the International League's Governor's Cup for the first time since 1967.
