  • ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Tigers left-hander Dontrelle Willis is on a rehab assignment with the Mud Hens, trying to get back to Detroit. Friday night the journey took him to Allentown where he started for the Mud Hens against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

    Willis gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts over five innings and left with a 5-3 lead but was not involved in the decision.

    Lehigh Valley scored a run in the bottom of the eighth inning for a 6-5 victory and dropped the Hens' record to 10-11. They have lost nine of their last 11 games.

    The IronPigs outhit the Hens 12-6 as Mike Cervenak went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs.

    No Hen had more than one hit although Jeff Larish picked up two RBIs.

    Only two of the Hens' runs were earned as the IronPigs committed four errors.


    Former Bowling Green High and BGSU standout Andy Tracy went 1-for-5 with an RBI for Lehigh Valley.
