Mud Hens bats stifled again

5/22/2009

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Jeremy Bonderman, on a rehab assignment from the Tigers, sailed along smoothly against Gwinnett last night for the Mud Hens. But as has been the case lately, the opposing pitcher, in this case Tommy Hanson, was also sailing along.

The Braves got to Bonderman in the sixth for five runs - a walk, an error, three doubles and a home run - on the way to a 7-2 victory.

Bonderman gave up six hits and five runs (three earned) in six innings with four strikeouts and two walks.

Hanson also went six, giving up no runs on one hit with nine strikeouts and one walk.

Don Kelly had two of Toledo's five hits, including a home run in the ninth.
