Hens Frazier earns IL honors

Mud Hens outfielder Jeff Frazier was named International League player of the week, the league office announced Monday.

Frazier hit .545 in nine games for the Hens, collecting three doubles and five home runs among his 18 hits. He had 12 RBIs while scoring 10 runs for Toledo.

Frazier s biggest games included a six-RBI effort against Syracuse Thursday.

On the season, Frazier now is hitting .285 he added 45 points to his batting average last week with seven home runs and 31 RBIs.

Frazier is the third Toledo player to earn the award this season, joining outfielder Don Kelly (May 25-31) and pitcher Lucas French (June 15-21).

Louisville left-hander Justin Lehr was named the IL s pitcher of the week.
