COLUMBUS - Jeff Larish and Armando Galarraga combined to lead the Mud Hens to a 3-2 win Sunday over Columbus.

Galarraga, Toledo's starting pitcher, did not allow a hit until the fourth inning and gave up just two runs on four hits in six innings of work, to improve to 3-1.

Larish slammed a two-run home run in the third inning that gave the Hens the cushion they needed to snap a two-game losing streak.

Toledo got the scoring started in the second inning as Casper Wells drew a one-out walk, moved to third on a single by Deik Scram, and raced home on a passed ball by Columbus catcher Damaso Espino.

Will Rhymes led off the next inning with a single, and two outs later Larish hammered his third homer of the season.

The Clippers scored twice off Galarraga in the fourth. Trevor Crowe led off with a double, then moved to third on a fly out by Shelly Duncan before coming home on a sacrifice fly by Wes Hodges.

Galarraga then walked Brian Bixler, and back-to-back singles by Anderson Hernandez and Espino scored Bixler.

Robbie Weinhardt relieved Galarraga in the seventh and retired the Clippers in order on just five pitches. In the eighth, Weinhardt walked Duncan and allowed a single to Hodges before getting Bixler to fly out to preserve the lead.

Jay Sborz pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his league-leading seventh save.
