ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Mud Hens played a pair of games last night against the Red Wings and got two completely different results, dropping the first game 15-3 and winning the nightcap 6-2.

In the opener, Ruddy Lugo couldn't make it out of the first inning as Rochester pushed 10 runs across. After walking the leadoff hitter, then getting Trevor Plouffe to fly out, Lugo gave up eight hits before being yanked for Josh Rainwater with the Hens trailing 9-0. Rainwater got out of the inning after allowing an unearned run.

Toledo got a pair of runs back in the fourth inning when Jeff Larish doubled in Will Rhymes and Jeff Frazier. Rhymes had a pair of hits in the opening game.

L.J. Gagnier turned the tables on the Red Wings in Game 2. The right-hander dominated Rochester, pitching a complete game and surrendering only one hit, a two-run homer to Plouffe in the third inning.

At the plate, Larish once again provided the big blow. The third baseman hit his sixth home run of the season in the top of the third, a drive over the right-field wall to bring home Maxwell Leon. He also doubled in the first to plate Leon with the first run of the game.

Leon, Larish, Brent Dlugach, and Ryan Strieby had two hits. Jeff Kunkel had three hits.
