ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Mud Hens wasted little time in flexing some muscle Thursday night in a doubleheader sweep of Lehigh Valley.

Toledo prevailed in the first game 4-3, then completed the sweep with a 2-1 victory.

Scott Sizemore led off the first inning of Game 1 of a doubleheader against the IronPigs with a drive over the left-field fence.

After Joe Savery fanned Casper Wells and Jeff Frazier, Ryan Strieby blasted a homer to right, then Jeff Larish followed with another drive over the right-field fence for the Hens' third homer of the inning.

Ryan Ketchner struggled in the bottom half of the inning, surrendering a three-run homer to Cody Ransom to tie the game. But Ketchner settled down, making it through 51/3 innings to get the victory. After the first inning, he only allowed a third-inning single to Melvin Dorta.

The Hens got their final run of Game 1 on Frazier's ninth homer of the year in the third inning.

Jay Sborz came on in the final inning to register his 13th save of the season. He wiggled out of a minor jam after he walked Brian Bocock, who then stole second base. But Sborz got Willy Taveras to ground out to shortstop Brent Dlugach to end the threat and the game.

In Game 2, the Hens continued to show off their power game. Wells launched his ninth home run of the season in the third inning to put Toledo up 1-0.

Billy Buckner made the lead stand up, rebounding from a rough first outing with the Mud Hens by pitching a complete game and surrendering only a single run on six hits.

Toledo tallied its second run in the sixth inning when Strieby singled to drive in Sizemore.
