MOOSIC, Pa. — If it had been “home run derby night.” the Toledo Mud Hens would have been all-even with Scranton/Wilkes Barre in their International League baseball game Friday night.

But it wasn't, and the Hens lost, 5-4, despite matching the Yankees with a three-run homer and solo HR blast all by Jeff Frazier.

Frazier provided Toledo's home run muscle, his 17th of the year giving the Hens a 1-0 lead in the second inning and his 3-run blast (18) tying the game at 4-all in the sixth.

Ryan Strieby and Jeff Larish were aboard with one-out singles before Frazier's blast.

The Yankees hit the scoreboard early, getting three runs in the first off Toledo starter Scot Drucker on Chad Tracy's three-run homer (3) following two one-out walks to Scranton/Wilkes Barre batters.

The Yankees added a single run in the fourth on a double and two singles.

Reliever Armando Galarrago then gave the Hens three scoreless innings, but Casey Fien was touched for a homer by Jorge Vasquez (7) in the eighth to send the Hens down to defeat No. 49 against 44 victories.
