The Mud Hens split their doubleheader with Indianapolis at Fifth Third Field Thursday, winning the first game 6-0 but losing the nightcap 3-1.

In the first game Toledo's Charlie Furbush threw a complete-game one hitter, allowing only a third-inning single by Jason Jaramillo. The Hens lefty did not walk a batter and struck out nine.

Toledo's offense was led by Ryan Strieby, whose two-run double capped a three-run first inning rally, and Clete Thomas, who had a two-out, two-run single in the third.

In the second game the Hens scored a run in the first when Andy Dirks tripled and Timo Perez singled him home. But otherwise Toledo was just 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position and stranded five baserunners.

Hens reliever Matt Hoffman took the loss after allowing Indianapolis to score twice in the fifth.

Toledo and Indianapolis will meet again Friday at Fifth Third Field, with first pitch set for 7 p.m.
