BUFFALO -- Father may know best, but the son got the best of this "Teufel Scuffle" Thursday night as former Mud Hen Tim Teufel's son Shawn made his Triple-A debut in a 4-0 win for Toledo over Buffalo.

Shawn Teufel pitched six innings of shutout ball against his father Tim's team, who is the manager of the Bison, by allowing three hits and striking out seven after making an emergency start, getting the call from High-A Lakeland (Fla.).

Shawn Teufel set down the first five Bisons (53-72) he faced. After an error by shortstop Danny Worth, he got out of the second inning with a strikeout.

The Hens loaded the bases in the third inning and Worth picked up the first RBI of the game when he drew a bases loaded walk to score Scott Thorman. Timo Perez drove in two runs when he lined a single to center, and Ryan Strieby got the Hens their fourth run of the inning with a fielder's choice.

Shawn Teufel faced his first pressure situation in the bottom of the third. He loaded the bases with one out, but delivered two straight strikeouts to Bisons sluggers Zach Lutz and Valentino Pascucci.

Shawn Teufel tossed a 1-2-3 fourth inning and gave up just one hit in the fifth. David Purcey, Brayan Villarreal, and Matt Hoffman teamed up to shut the door on the Bisons as they threw three shutout innings of relief.
