From the “Opening Day Bash” to Fan Appreciation Night, the Mud Hens will offer plenty of excitement this season for fans at Fifth Third Field.

The Opening Day Bash is a pregame party that includes an all-you-can-eat buffet and a number of drink specials before the Home opener Thursday against Louisville.

Fan Appreciation Night will take place during Toledo’s final regular-season game on Friday, Aug. 31 and see the Hens give away 2,000 hand-held fans. There also will be fireworks on Aug. 31 — one of 22 fireworks events planned.

And for Star Wars fans there will be two special events: “May the Fourth Be With You” on Saturday, May 4 — get it? — and Revenge of the Fifth the next day.

There also will be three School Celebration Days featuring 10:30 a.m. starts Wednesday, May 15, and Monday-Tuesday, May 20-21.
