The Indians' Kyle Waldrop combined with relievers Ryan Reid and Vic Black to give up just three hits and one walk.
Toledo starter Duane Below suffered a hard-luck loss, giving up two runs in the third but otherwise limiting the Indians to just three hits and one walk in seven innings.
