Mud Hens snap 3-game losing streak

The Mud Hens snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory over Buffalo at Fifth Third Field today.

Avisail Garcia slammed a long home run in the first inning, and Danny Dorn's single in the third resulted in two more runs. Toledo plated what proved to be the winning run in the fifth on a single by Ben Guez.

Shawn Hill earned his second win of the season by allowing just one run in 5.1 innings.

Jose Ortega pitched out of a bases-loaded, none-out jam without allowing a run in the eighth, while Jose Valverde gave up a two-run homer to Ryan Goins in the ninth but pitched out of a two-on, none-out jam to claim his sixth save with Toledo.
