LOUISVILLE — Billy Hamilton hit a walk-off single off of Jose Ortega as the Mud Hens (56-79) lost 4-3 to the Louisville Bats on Saturday night.

It was the third straight loss for Toledo after they dropped the first two games of the series against the Bats.

Toledo trailed 3-0, but came back with two runs in the seventh and one run in the ninth.

Jordan Lennerton hit his 17th home run, a two-run shot, to cut Louisville’s lead to 3-2. Mike Cervenak singled home Danny Worth in the top of the ninth as the Mud Hens rallied to tie the game.

Ortega retired Nevin Ashley to begin the bottom of the ninth, but Emmanuel Burriss and Kristopher Negron followed with singles. After a wild pitch allowed both runners to advance a base, Hamilton came through with a clutch hit to left field.

Toledo’s Shawn Hill pitched six innings of three-run ball on his way to a no decision, while Ortega was saddled with the loss.
