Mud Hens pitcher Blaine Hardy was named International League pitcher of the week, the league announced today.
The left-hander won both of his starts last week, including a complete-game one-hit shutout at home against Gwinnett Monday and seven innings of three-hit shutout ball at Louisville Sunday. In 16 innings Hardy allowed just four hits and three walks while striking out nine and not allowing a run.
With the two wins this past week, Hardy improved to 6-1 with a 1.86 ERA since his June promotion from Double-A Erie.
