Weather permitting, the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority will resume its Muddy Shuttle service today for the Toledo Mud Hens' season-opening game.

TARTA buses will leave each of nine park-and-ride lots an hour before the start of each home game throughout the season and will depart Fifth Third Field 20 minutes after the end of each game or, when there are postgame fireworks or other activities, 20 minutes after those activities conclude.

Outbound buses will board passengers along Washington Street on the ballpark's first-base side.

The fare is $1 each way, and up to two children up to age 6 may ride for free with each fare-paying adult. No game ticket is required to ride the Muddy Shuttle.

Muddy Shuttle park-and-ride locations are ProMedica St. Luke's Hospital and the Lucas County Recreation Center in Maumee; Centennial Terrace in Syvlania Township; Kroger in Waterville, and in Toledo: Franklin Park Mall, Miracle Mile Shopping Center, Southland Shopping Center, and the Meijer store on Alexis Road.

Today's game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m., but rain is forecast. Muddy Shuttles will depart the park-and-ride lots at 3 p.m. unless the game is postponed before then.
