Mud Hens beat Louisville 6-3 for first win of season

The Mud Hens claimed their first win of the 2014 season by beating Louisville 6-3 at Fifth Third Field today.

Toledo got a pair of two-run home runs, one by Hernan Perez in the fifth and the other by Ben Guez in the eighth. The Hens finished with nine hits, including two hits and a stolen base by Ezequiel Carrera.

Hens starter Robbie Ray and three relievers combined to allow just five hits and just one earned run, with Ray earning the win and Melvin Mercedes collecting his first save with a scoreless ninth.
