Robbie Ray pitched six strong innings and Trevor Crowe and Jordan Lennerton belted home runs to lead the Mud Hens to a 7-2 win over the Columbus Clippers today at Fifth Third Field.

Ray limited the visitors to one run on six hits while striking out six in turning in his third straight quality start.

Crowe and Lennerton each hit solo homers in the sixth inning.

A crowd of 6,618 gave Toledo slugger Mike Hessman an extended ovation before his first at-bat. It was Hessman's first home game since slugging his International League-record 259th career home run Monday in Indianapolis.
