Mud Hens Carrera named hitter of the week
7/7/2014Mud Hens outfielder Ezequiel Carrera was named International League hitter of the week, the league announced today.
Carrera batted .407 in seven games last week with two home runs, six RBIs and nine runs scored. Carrera also drew five walks and stole four bases last week.
On the season Carrera, who was named to the IL All-Star team, leads the league with 36 stolen bases. He ranks fifth in the league with a .316 batting average and is third in runs scored with 54.
A former Hen, Adam Wilk of Indianapolis, was named IL pitcher of the week.
