New Music Ensemble at BGSU

The New Music Ensemble will perform at 8 tonight in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center at Bowling Green State University. The event opens the three-day fourth annual Student National Conference of the Society of Composers, Inc.

Also in Kobacker Hall, the BGSU symphonic and concert bands perform at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Additional programs are scheduled for 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday.

The annual Dr. Marjorie Conrad Peatee Art Song Competition begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at BGSU. There will be a formal winners concert at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore center.

Also in Bryan Hall, the woodwind quintet Venti da Camera will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Violinist Hilary Hahn will join conductor Andrew Massey and the Toledo Symphony in a program of music by Rossini, Mendelssohn, Webern, and Hindemith at 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle. Tickets range from $15 to $39. Information: 419-246-8000.
