BYU chamber orchestra slated

The Brigham Young University Chamber Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the auditorium of Bowling Green Junior High School in Bowling Green. Tickets are $4 in advance, $5 at the door. Information: 419-354-0100.

Toledo Opera will present Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Valentine Theatre, 400 North Superior St. Tickets range from $20 to $90. Information: 419-255-7464.

The Toledo JCC Orchestra will present its 47th spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday in temple Shomer Emunim, 6453 Sylvania Ave. The free concert is open to the public.

The North Coast Concert Band and North Coast Big Band will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Ernsthausen Performing Arts Center of Norwalk High School, 350 Shady Lane Dr., Norwalk.

Ohio Northern University presents Band Festival XXVII at 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $3. The Ohio Northern University jazz bands will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets are $7, $6 for seniors and non-ONU students, and $5 for children 12 and under. Both concerts are in the Biggs Theatre in the university's Freed Center for Performing Arts in Ada. The Detroit Symphony Civic Orchestra with conductor Charles Burke and the Civic Jazz Orchestra with conductor Marcus Belgrave will present two concerts in Detroit this weekend. The groups will play for the Cinco de Mayo Festival in Mexican Village, 1000 St. Anne St., at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, then will present works by Bernstein and Strauss at 3 p.m. Sunday in Orchestra Hall.
