Dixieland music set at Perrysburg market

The Glass City Dixieland Band will perform at 7 tonight in Perrysburg's Farmers' Market at Second Street and Louisiana Avenue. In the case of bad weather, the concert will begin at 7:15 p.m. in the Schaller Memorial Building on West Indiana Avenue near the fire station.

Guitarist Doug Wood will perform at 12:15 p.m. tomorrow and folk musician Mary Dick will perform at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Garden Caf of Toledo Botanical Garden, 5403 Elmer Dr.

Toledo Opera continues its summer series with performances of S'Wonderful at 7 p.m. Saturday near the gazebo in International Park and Jack and the Beanstalk at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Yager Center area of Swan Creek Met- ropark.

Conductor Sam Szor and the Toledo Concert Band will present a Music Under the Stars program titled “Kids' Night: Make Time for Kids” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Toledo Zoo amphitheater.

Guest artists for the free concert are The Mighty Meaty Swing Kings, the Young Rep Road Show, 6-year-old magician Eli Portala, and dancers from the Cassandra Ballet.

  • The North Coast Concert Band will perform at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Island Festival on Kelley's Island.

  • The Lakeside Symphony will present an evening of ballet music on Saturday and a program of music by Wagner, Beethoven, and Dvorak on Tuesday. Concerts are at 8:15 p.m. in Hoover Auditorium at the Lakeside Chataqua resort on the Marblehead Peninsula. Admission to the resort for the day is $11.50, $8.50 for children under 18.
