Symphony gets ready for baseball season

The symphony trades tuxedos for jeans and sports jerseys as it presents, "Play Ball!" at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Peristyle of the Toledo Museum of Art, 2445 Monroe St. The sports-themed concert will feature Blade editor Tom Walton reading "Casey at the Bat"; a special relief conductor, Richard Karcher, and guest soloist, violinist Andrea Jarrett. Gary Lewis and his International Silver Medalist winning barbershop quartet, MAX Q, are scheduled to perform at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the Franciscan Theatre & Conference Center of Lourdes College, 6832 Convent Blvd. Sylvania.
