German-American choruses to perform

Teutonia Maennerchor and Damenchor, northwest Ohio s German-American choruses, present their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. April 29 at Oak Shade Grove, 3624 Seaman Rd., Oregon. The concert, which follows a 6 p.m. dinner, will feature performances by the Columbus and Fort Wayne, Ind., German-American choruses. Dancing follows the concert. Tickets are $20. Faculty of the Music Schools of Northwest Ohio, the Pemberville Freedom Historical Society, and the Pemberville Opera House Guild will present Music Through the Ages at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Pemberville Opera House, Front and Main streets, Pemberville. The Great Lakes Flute Festival will take place May 5-7 in the University of Toledo Center for Performing Arts. The flute festival will feature a weekend of master classes, workshops, and chamber recitals with flutists from the Toledo Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, UT and Bowling Green State University. The Toledo Symphony Orchestra will host Symphony Stampede, its 5K run/fun walk, at 9 a.m. May 6.
