Pianist Ingrid Filter to be symphony guest

Conductor Stefan Sanderling will lead the Toledo Symphony in a program titled The Rite of Spring! at 8 p.m. March 2 and 3 in the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle, 2445 Monroe St. The concert will feature pianist Ingrid Filter in Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor, as well as Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring" and Smetana's "The Moldau." The Toledo Ballet will hold auditions for its May performances of Ballet Tapestry of American Music and its summer intensives for dancers age 12 and older on Feb. 24 in the Toledo Ballet School, Westfield Franklin Park, 5001 Monroe St., Suite R20. Intermediate to advanced ballet dancers are scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m., intermediate to advanced jazz and musical theater dancers from 1:30 to 3 p.m., and intermediate to advanced modern dancers from 3 to 4:30 p.m. There is an audition fee of $10. Bowling Green State University's college of musical arts presents a concert of works by its graduate and undergraduate students at 8 p.m. Feb. 22 in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.

•Graduate students Octavio Mas-Arocas and Catherine O'Shaughnessy will direct the BGSU Chamber Orchestra at 8 p.m. Feb. 24.

•"Voices of Dissent," featuring performance artist Janice Misurell-Mitchell, will take place at 8 p.m. Feb. 26.

•Kenneth Thompson will direct the New Music Ensemble in "Voce, Sotto Voce, Pseudo Voce" at 8 p.m. Feb. 27.

•The Bowling Green Opera Theater's production of Francis Poulenc's Dialogues of the Calamities is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 and 3 p.m. Feb. 25. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students.
