'Motor City Blues' featured on WGTE

Public television will serve up the blues, Detroit style, in a special broadcast tonight of Boogie and the Blues Diva: 2004 Motor City Blues & Boogie Woogie Festival.

The show featuring Maria Muldaur was recorded at the historic Redford Theatre in Detroit. It explores 60 years of American music starting with the songs of blues divas from the '20s and '30s. The music includes ragtime, the blues, boogie music, and early rock and roll.

The show was presented by the American Music Research Foundation and will air on WGTE-TV, Channel 30 at 10 p.m.
