National act coming to Glass City Opry

The Adrian Power Trio, featuring guitarist Adrian Belew, Eric Slick on drums and Julie Slick on bass, will play at 8 p.m. March 6, in the Magic Bag 22920 Woodward Ave., Ferndale, Mich. Belew gained fame as Frank Zappa's guitarist in the late 1970's and has since done solo projects, as well as toured and done albums with such noted artist as David Bowie, Talking Heads, Nine Inch Nails and The Bears. The Toledo School for the Arts' Hajara Dance Company, presents "Xhibit Green" at 7 p.m. March 6, in the Owens Community College Center for Fine and Performing Arts, 30335 Oregon Rd., Perrysburg. The performance is held in conjunction with the exhibition "Christo and Jeanne-Claude," which is hosted in the centers Terhune Gallery through March. Also performing for the center's Culture Club Series will be the Tartan Terror's "Dressed to Kilt," at 8 p.m. March 14. Rusty Evans and the Ring of Fire Band present a tribute to the "Man in Black," Johnny Cash at 8 p.m. March 7, in the River Raisin Centre for the Arts, 114 S. Monroe St., Monroe, Mich. The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin, will host "The Nobodies of Comedy," featuring little known, up-and-coming stars of comedy, from around the country. St. Francis de Sales High School, 2323 W. Bancroft St., presents it's third annual "Knight Fest: A Celebration of the Arts" at 6:30 p.m. March 9.
