Grammy Award-winning pianist George Winston will stop in at the Collingwood Arts Center Sunday to showcase songs from his new disc, "Love Will Come - The Music of Vince Guaraldi, Vol. 2."

Considered one of the foremost New Age artists, Winston has released 11 solo piano albums and also plays harmonica and guitar.

Winston is notoriously laid-back and is a musical explorer, his latest passion being the study of great New Orleans pianists such as Professor Longhair, Dr. John, and James Booker.

He regularly uses his concerts and albums to raise money for his favorite causes, including a fund-raiser to benefit those affected by 9/11 and a recent hurricane-relief effort. Winston encourages those attending the Collingwood Arts Center show to bring a donation of nonperishable food to the concert to benefit the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, Inc.

The concert will be on the center stage in the arts center's Lois M. Nelson Theatre at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They may be purchased by calling 800-838-3006, at the online box office at collingwoodartscenter.org, or by visiting the CAC offices.

A portion of concert proceeds will benefit the Collingwood Arts Center, 2413 Collingwood Blvd.
