Pat Dailey to perform in South Toledo Friday

1/26/2011

When winter rolls around Pat Dailey either goes south or comes in from the cold.

Renowned for his summer shows on South Bass Island at Put-in-Bay for decades along with his stands at Sloppy Joe's Bar in Key West, Fla., in the winter Dailey returns to northwest Ohio this weekend for his 15th "Cure for the Winter Blues" show in Toledo.

He'll be at Gladieux Meadows at 8:30 p.m. Friday playing songs that have earned him the nickname the "Great Lakes Troubadour" and telling stories. Dailey has recorded 15 albums and he has a long back catalog of tunes to choose from, drawing from his experiences fishing, boating, and hanging out in some of the lake's watering holes.

His most recent CD is "Langram Road," which is named after one of the main roads on Put-in-Bay.

Tickets for the show are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. They can be purchased by calling 419-473-3003 or they will be available at the door. Gladieux Meadows is at 4480 Heatherdowns Blvd. and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
