Lineup: Rob Courtney (vocals, guitar, keyboards, upright bass, recording/mixing); Russ Courtney (vocals, piano, guitar, harmonica).

Year formed: 2010.

Style of Music: Folk-inflected indie rock.

Influences: Neil Young, Radiohead, Flaming Lips, David Bazan.

Favorite venue: A tie between the Ottawa Tavern and living room shows. We held our CD release show at the Ottawa Tavern. The folks there go out of their way to shine a light on the local indie music scene while consistently presenting strong touring bands. They've created a community of fans/regulars, ourselves included, for doing so. On the other hand, we love playing friends' living rooms where the crowd sits on couches or on the floor, making for a remarkably odd, yet intimate setting for a show. Some of our best shows on our 2010 tour took place in living rooms -- when we were done playing, we mingled with fans and friends, then rolled out the sleeping bags and slept on the "stage."
