Bowersox to play at Ottawa County Fairgrounds

Crystal Bowersox is coming home this summer to play a concert July 9 at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds near Port Clinton.
The Ottawa County Agricultural Society said the 2010 American Idol runner-up and Elliston, Ohio, native will play the show. She sang a few songs at the fairgrounds last year when she made a quick trip home from the Idol competition.
She is beginning to tour to promote her “Farmer’s Daughter” album and last weekend played two sold-out concerts at Monroe County Community College.
Tickets for the show go on sale May 16 and will cost $25. They can be purchased at the fairgrounds, by e-mail ing ocfair@amplex.net, or by calling 419-898-1971. The Ottawa County Fair will be later in July.
