The band Old State Line.

Year formed: 2009

Members: Ramsey Abu-Absi, guitar, mandolin, vocals; Tom Barden, guitar, mandolin, dobro, vocals; Cindy Lipman, fiddle, guitar, vocals; Larry Meyer, percussion; and Rayna Zacharias, bass.

Style of music: We call it Acoustic Americana -- a mix of folk, country, roots, and old-time.

Influences: Just about anyone who has gone before us, including pioneers like Leadbelly, '60s icon Jerry Garcia, living masters Steve Earle and Bob Dylan, and newer acts like Old Crow Medicine Show.

Sounds a little like: Hopefully we channel the traditional American music of our influences, while leaving our own imprint.

Favorite venue: We're looking forward to playing the Glass City Cafe music brunch on Saturday, but overall, our favorite spot has been the streets of Toledo, busking at the Farmers Market, and especially the ACGT Art Walks. It's playing outside on a warm summer night in the middle of Toledo's creative class with immediate feedback.
