Friday night's quintuple bill Summer Jam 2011 show at Huntington Center features a lineup of rappers with Atlanta roots.

On top of the show is Young Jeezy, who just released a mixtape, "The Real Is Back" with DJ Drama in lieu of his next full-length CD, "TM 103," which is stuck in limbo as he awaits a major label deal. The two have worked together since the early 2000s when they popularized a type of rap known as trap, but Drama is not scheduled to perform Friday.

Jeezy was a member of the rap group Boyz in Da Hood, and has produced numerous CDs and mixtapes. His 2006 release "Thug Motivation 102" went to No. 1 on the Billboard charts and he followed it in 2007 with another No. 1 release, "The Recession."

Jeezy has worked with Fort Myers, Fla., rapper Plies who also will perform Friday. His most recent CD is last year's "Goon Affliated" and he is known for a gritty form of rap that is decidedly non-commercial.

Gorilla Zoe replaced Jeezy in Boyz in Da Hood and he shares Jeezy's emphasis on slow flows delivered in a raspy voice. His most recent release is the party-ready "King Kong," which came out this year.

Also performing are Travis Porter, a Decatur, Ga., group formed just three years ago and Lloyd (see CD review on Page W13).

Tickets are available at all TicketMaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, the Huntington Center box office, 500 Jefferson Ave., and by phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets, with fees included, are $72.20, $93.15, $103.40, and $113.90.
