Year started performing: As a young girl in 1973 if singing into a hairbrush while watching Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl on TV counts. Church choir, school events, Westgate Dinner Theatre, rock bands, weddings, musicals, jazz clubs, etc.

Sounds a little like: I tried to sound like everybody -- Pat Benatar, Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Nicks, Carmen McRae. Now I hope I've found my own voice.

Influences: Yikes! Jazz vocalist Nancy Wilson to Journey to Barbra to the most recent, Adele, Jane Monheit Stacey Kent, the great musicians that I've been able to work with. By the way, Nancy Wilson once told me to change my last name.

Upcoming events: I have been fortunate enough to work for Celebrity Cruise Lines the last 12 years singing jazz. My next contract takes me to Europe March 5-June 1. This summer I will perform at Jazz in the Garden, Degage, Avenue Bistro. I also will be playing the Tres Belle Martini Lounge. Toledo has been very good to me.

Recording: I have three CDSs but I have none of them left so I recently recorded a live concert in Portland, Ore., where I lived for seven years (great city, great jazz musicians) that is currently being made into a CD that will be ready in June. CD release party to be announced!
