Rapper Tyga takes Omni stage Friday

Recording artist Tyga will be at the Omni Friday at 8 p.m.

Rapper Tyga brings his Careless World tour to Toledo for a show Friday at the Omni, 2567 W. Bancroft St. The Young Money artist will share the stage with special guests YG and Lil Twist beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance from Culture Clash, 4020 Secor Rd,; Ramalama Records, 3151 W. Central Ave., and ticketmaster.com. Tickets are $28 at the door. Tyga's "Rack City" hit No. 6 on the Rap Billboard chart and No. 7 on the Hot 100 chart. His album, "Careless World: Rise of the Last King," was released in February.

Get an up-close look at the maple syrup-making process Sunday at Maple Fest 2012. The event will take place at the Paul Snavely family farm, at 9409 E. Township Rd. 138, four miles north of Republic, Ohio, between State Rts. 18 and 19. Maple Fest also will feature pancakes, ice cream, and camp tours of the 20-acre woods with 1,300 taps. Think you've got what it takes to strut the catwalk? Give it your best shot at America's Next Top Model Casting Call Saturday at Westfield Franklin Park. Auditions will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the food court. You must be female, 18 to 27 years old, and at least 5 feet 7 inches tall to audition. There is no weight requirement. Applicants should bring three photos in the following poses: full length, head shot, and bathing suit. Photos will be sent to ANTM casting and will not be returned. Participants also should bring copies of their driver's license or state ID, passport or Social Security card, and a birth certificate. A copy machine will not be available. Auditions will be taped and one local winner will have the opportunity to meet with the New York casting team at a later date and time.
