The Reverend Horton Heat

The Reverend is coming to town.

Reverend Horton Heat will bring his high-watt psychobilly rock to the Omni on Wednesday and walls are sure to rattle.

The three-man band has been mixing punk and rockabilly for nearly 30 years, bringing showmanship and an unabashed celebration of sex, booze, cars, and retro obsessions to juke joints all over the world.

James C. Heath grew up in Texas and started playing in Dallas in 1985 when he was dubbed Reverend Horton Heat. Since then he has released 11 albums with various band members, including 2009's "Laughin' and Cryin' With the Reverend Horton Heat."

Doors open at 7 p.m. at the Omni, which is at 2567 W. Bancroft St. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 the day of the show. Advance tickets are available at all TicketMaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com, and at Culture Clash, (419-536-5683), and Ramalama Records (419-531-7625).
