Van Halen to postpone Toledo show

Ticket holders to the postponed July 24 Van Halen concert at Huntington Center have two options: return their tickets to the point of purchase for a full refund, or hold onto them and hope the concert is rescheduled.

Tickets, priced at $125, $75, and $49.50, went on sale May 5, and were available atticketmaster.com and livenation.com, as well as the Huntington Center box office.

Speculation as to why the second leg of the tour was postponed includes fighting among band members, as Rolling Stone magazine reported, and poor ticket sales. Al Purdie, marketing manager for Huntington Center and SeaGate Convention Centre, declined to discuss ticket sales for the Toledo concert.

The band features guitar god Eddie Van Halen, original frontman David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen on drums, and Wolfgang Van Halen (Eddie's son with actor Valerie Bertinelli) on bass, and is touring to support its new album "A Different Kind of Truth."

The band is known for such Roth-era hits as "You Really Got Me," "Jump," "Hot for Teacher," "Panama," "Beautiful Girls," "Runnin' with the Devil," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," and "And The Cradle Will Rock."
