9/6/2012
Andrew Ellis.
Andrew Ellis.

Lineup: Andrew Ellis, vocals, acoustic guitar, slide guitar, banjo, coffee, and cigarettes; Lucky Lemont, upright bass.

Style of music: I suppose Americana, or love songs, or Delta blues, maybe country, or roots. Any or all of these would be an acceptable nomenclature.

Sounds a little like: Me, baby, me.

Influences: Hank Chinaski, broken knuckles, 16-hour work days, Toledo, my dad, overbearing winters, migraines, and love.

Favorite local venues: The Village Idiot, Treo, Basin Street Grille, Swig, Nick and Jimmy's, Manhattans, Star Bar, Trotters, B Gumps, Holiday Inn French Quarter, Mutz, Arnie's Perrysburg, Dorr Street Cafe.

CDs released: Working on some acoustic stuff right now. I've released several electric CDs with Poe Ditch and the Setting Sons, but none acoustic.

Upcoming gigs: Friday, Mutz with the Setting Sons (electric); Arnie's in Perrysburg with the Setting Sons; Sept. 14, Dorr Street Cafe; Sept. 15 Basin Street Grille; Sept. 16, Star Bar; Sept. 21, Swig; Sept. 22, Treo; Sept. 27, Star Bar, and Sept. 28-29 the Holiday Inn French Quarter.
