The Valentine celebrates summer's end

It will be a busy weekend starting Friday at the Valentine Theatre as the 14th Annual Fund-raising Dinner and show highlight a series of activities designed to raise money.

The celebration kicks off Friday with the Summer's End Plaza Party from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. The street party outside the 410 Adams St. theater will feature beer, wine, music and fun activities. Admission is $5.

Jefferson Starship performs Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and the concert will be preceded by a gala dinner at the theater at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the gala are $150. Concert-only tickets are $45 and $35.

On Sunday the family-oriented presentation of Pinkalicious will be presented at 1 and 3 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children.

Proceeds from the events are used to support the venerable theater in downtown Toledo that features plays, musicals, musical performances, movies, and other entertainment.
