Waterville Playshop to stage Wizard of Oz

The Waterville Playshop goes curtains up on its 61st season with an always popular show featuring a farm girl from Kansas, a Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and a wizard behind a curtain.

The playshop will stage the Wizard of Oz at the Maumee Indoor Theater Nov. 2 at 8 p.m.; Nov. 3 at 2:30 and 8 p.m., and Nov. 4 at 2:30 p.m.

The show is directed by Inge Klopping with musical director Beth Hite and featuring Tracy Wilson as choreographer. Advanced tickets can be purchased through the playshop’s Web site, www.watervilleplayshop.org, the Maumee Indoor Theater, or any cast member. New this season is preferred seating.
